Because we are a small, totally independent business with limited overheads, we can sell our product, which consists of five boxes, at less than £2,000 ex-works per chicken house.
Benefits
From the Results section you will see that FLOCKMAN improved Welfare, Liveweight and FCR and reduced Mortality. An average benefit of an extra margin of £1,083 per crop was made. This gave an EXTRA annual PROFIT (assuming 7 crops of chicken a year) of £7,500 per chicken house of 25,000 birds.
Cost / benefit
The ratio between ex-works cost and average annual return is therefore 1 to 3.75. In other words, our ex-works costs are, on average, recovered within 3 to 4 months
An average benefit of an extra margin of £1,083 per crop gave a payback within 2 crops. Some growers have had a payback in one crop but the statistical analysis shows that you can be 97.5% certain of a payback within a maximum of 3 crops.
