FLOCKMAN |
|||||||
| Chicken Grower Sweden - He had never grown chicken before. This was his first Crop. Breed is Ross 208. | |||||||
| Chicken in Sweden have to be
grown to an EXACT weight. Grower's payments / kg above 1.725 kg are lower so that Total
Revenue per bird is constant over 1.725 kg. So heavy birds (which eat and cost
more) lose the grower money! House 1 was Female: House 2 was "As Hatched": Both had to be processed on day 37. So we had to grow females to Breed Targets, but hold the "As Hatched" flock back. This was a challenge for FLOCKMAN! Summary of Results: |
|||||||
| Sex | Days | kg | FCR | EPEF | Deaths | % Wheat | |
| House 1 House 2 |
Female As Hatched |
37 37 |
1.755 1.763 |
1.655 1.656 |
286 300 |
1.79% 1.78% |
20.7 21.7 |
| These results are the best in
SWEDEN where EPEF figures of 260 to 280 and Mortality of 3.5% are normal. FLOCKMAN
gave factory weights for both sexes, within 8 grams of each other, showing it meets set
targets! FLOCKMAN automatically produces graphs of all production parameters. Some of these are shown below:- For the full report, e-mail David@(delete this)flockman.com Feed Conversion Efficiency (FCR) Actual performance to date versus Breed Target |
|||||||
Note: House 1: better at end and BELOW Target. House 2 much better than Target.
Efficiency of Production Factor to date (calculated as follows: -) Liveweight (kg) x (100-% mortality to date) x 10000 FCR x (age of birds in days )
Note: House 1 ended at 284, about on Target. House 2 (As Hatched) had been well above. Because we had to hold them back in order to hit the low Target of 1.8 kg at the end of day 37, EPEF finished at just 300! |
